2000 University of Washington MFA Thesis Exhibition

Stroum Gallery

The Henry presents the University of Washington’s School of Art Master of Fine Arts annual exhibition in the North Galleries. Throughout their program , students have worked with advisers and other artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, discuss critical issues, and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work. Pieces in the exhibition were selected by students and their thesis committees, with curatorial assistance from Jim Rittimann, Henry Art Gallery head preparator and exhibition designer.

Students who presented work, by discipline follow. Ceramics: John Byrd, Ayumi Horie, James LaChance, Philip Roach. Fibers: Alan Corkery Hahn, Leslie Straka. Metals: Mariko Daibo, Heather Sincavage. Painting: Joline Abbadessa, Thomas Albrecht, Maya Chachava, Dylan Mosley, Victoria Tchetchet. Photography: Michelle Jack, Lynn Shen, Robert McCrory. Printmaking: Roger Bogers, Kamla Kakaria. Sculpture: Vaughn Randall. Visual Communication Design: Wing Fong, Karen Gutowsky.
