Alexis Rockman: Future Evolution
East Gallery
April 27, 2001 – August 19, 2001
Alexis Rockman’s work, both whimsical and macabre, offered an imagined evolutionary future, the aftermath of a natural mass-extinction cycle aided and abetted by biotechnology, pollution, and folly. The exhibition included a full-sized billboard of one of Rockman’s paintings and several of his drawings.
