Between Two Worlds

This selection of works from the Henry Art Gallery’s permanent collections invites exploration of worlds that exist beyond, within, above, below, and simultaneously. From 19th-century Japanese prints to 20th-century American photographs, these works inspire discussion and discovery of how dualities converge or emerge in a single frame, thereby affecting how we comprehend an image’s significance. Featured artists include Ken Botto, Toyohara Chikanobu, Linda S. Connor, Delphine Courtillot, and Zoe Leonard.

Organized by Henry Graduate Student Assistants Amanda Mae Bomar and Rachel Gaudry.
Featured artists: Ken Botto, Toyohara Chikanobu, Linda S. Connor, Delphine Courtillot, Zoe Leonard
