Charles 'Teenie' Harris. Untitled. c.1930. Heinz Family Fund, 2001.35.8275.

The Photography of Charles "Teenie" Harris is presented in tandem with Seattle Theater Group’s presentation of RONALD K. BROWN / EVIDENCE, A DANCE COMPANY at the Moore Theater, Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3, 2007. One Shot, a new work by Ronald K. Brown was inspired by the photographs of noted African American photojournalist Charles "Teenie" Harris. Mr. Brown hopes to create a work that captures the essence of the universal feeling and connection between community life, family, hope, dignity and celebration that was the core of Mr. Harris' art.

For more information about the performance visit www.themoore.com, or phone at 206-292-ARTS.

The Photography of Charles "Teenie" Harris is made possible by the generous support of the Carnegie Museum of Art, the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, the Heinz Endowment and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
