The Contemporaries Acquisition Event is a lively, informative art experience culminating in the selection of new artwork for the Henry Art Gallery’s permanent collection.
Associate Curator Sara Krajewski will present a selection of important new works in a range of media and styles. Each vote is $500, fully tax-deductible, and gives an individual or couple one vote in the selection process. We hope you will join us for this evening of art with as we toast the 10th anniversary of the Contemporaries Acquisition Event with a Prosecco and petits fours!
The 10th anniversary of the Contemporaries Acquisition Event was held on March 18, 2009. After two rounds of voting (first one was a tie!), the Henry acquired a photograph by Trevor Paglen Four Geostationary Satellites Above the Sierra Nevada 2007
