Shadows of a Fleeting World: Opening Panel and Reception

Friday, February 11, 2011, 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Henry Auditorium
FREE with museum admission or membership, seating is limited and will be determined on a first come first serve basis.

In collaboration with the University of Washington Libraries and the University of Washington Press, the Henry Art Gallery invites you to join us for a panel discussion and reception to celebrate the opening of the exhibition Shadows of a Fleeting World: Pictorial Photography and Seattle Camera Club. The exhibition is part of a notable collaboration that also produced a recent publication on the Camera Club and aspects of the artistic milieu in early 20th-century Seattle. Featured panelists include Henry Chief Curator Elizabeth Brown, Co-Authors, David F.Martin, and Nicolette Bromberg with an introduction from Lizabeth A. Wilson, Dean of University Libraries. Copies of the publication will be available for purchase during the event.

This exhibition was curated by Henry Chief Curator Elizabeth Brown and is presented in partnership with the University of Washington Press, and Special Collections at the University of Washington Libraries.
The exhibition is generously supported by ArtsFund, the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. Special thanks to media partner Seattle Weekly.
