Panoptos Revisited: A Panel on Art and Technology

Friday, February 4, 2011, 7:00 - 8:00 PM
Henry Auditorium
Henry Members FREE | General Admission $5

Over the past few months the collaborative trio of SuttonBeresCuller have spent a considerable amount of time installing, tweaking, and trouble-shooting the many elements that make up the participatory exhibition Panoptos. Join artists John Sutton, Ben Beres, Zac Culler, Joseph Gray, and Matt Westervelt of Metrix Create:Space as they discuss the development of Panoptos and the ways in which technology is used within the realm of contemporary art as a tool for intervention, interpretation, and insight.

Moderated by John Boylan, this panel will also explore the role of technology in contemporary arts practice using questions and prompts generated by local artists and University of Washington students. If you have a question you’d like for the panel to consider, email it to Henry Program Coordinator, Whitney Ford-Terry: .

Featured artists: Featuring John Sutton, Ben Beres, Zac Culler, and Joseph Gray.
