In conjunction with the University of Washington School of Art’s summer residency project, Miami-based artist Bert Rodriguez will speak about his art-making practice. Bert Rodriguez has exhibited in galleries and institutions worldwide. Recent exhibitions include In Your Own Image: The Best of Bert Rodriguez Vol. I at the Bass Museum of Art (2009); Where You End and I Begin, at Frieze Art Fair (2008); and In The Beginning…, at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In 2009, Lawrimore Project welcomed Rodriguez to Seattle in the group exhibition Spite House, and he was featured in the Western Bridge exhibition Parenthesis.

Following Bert’s Lecture there will a Q&A cupcake social in the Café sponsored by Trophy Cupcakes.
